It is with extremely sad hearts that we tell you of the sudden acute illness and unexpected passing of Pete on February 9th, 2017. His huge and generous presence has left a very large hole in our family's daily life and in our community. It is still very surreal yet it has happened. His spirit is still among us and we, his family, and our Mountain Magnolia family will strive to continue his tradition of providing the best possible service to our lodging and dining guests going forward.....this is what he would want.
If you would like to read the obituary, you can find it here.
Over the years we have come to appreciate, beyond words, the difference our staff makes in creating an exceptional experience for our guests.
You can take a historic property, beautifully decorated, with exceptional grounds and views, and without a friendly, engaging, service-oriented team, fall way short on guest satisfaction and experience.
Somehow we have been blessed with a team that is service-oriented, friendly, engaging and that seamlessly work together to provide exceptional guest service. Guests comment on this daily and marvel at our team and the ownership they take in providing guest services.
To operate an inn like ours takes housekeepers, innkeepers, landscapers, maintenance, waitresses, dinner and breakfast chefs, wedding coordinators and more.
It is team Magnolia that makes the critical difference in guest satisfaction and the total guest experience. It’s rewarding and an honor for us to work with each of them.
