The sky is the limit here in the mountains in the summer. Swimming, rafting, hiking, soaking, dining, live music- anything goes! We can direct you to a multitude of fun activities right here in the town vicinity, or recommend some places in Asheville or other nearby places to enjoy.
In June, the Madison County Arts Council puts on the Bluff Mountain Music Festival, which is free and wonderful and highlights truly local traditional music and crafts. In July, join Hot Springs residents as well as locals from other parts of the county for a rockin’ Fourth of July fireworks show, which occurs on the closest Saturday to the 4th. Several of the local restaurants host live music on weekend nights, and on Saturdays you can shop at the little local farmer’s market in town.
When you dine with us in the summer, you will enjoy the finest of what local growers have to offer (including the freshness of our summer cutting garden). Fresh shiitakes are delivered by a neighbor regularly, local vegetables of all kinds are in abundance, local blueberries and blackberries are lovingly picked and brought to our kitchen, and all is paired with high quality locally sourced meat. Our next door neighbor raises bees, and we buy honey from him in the summer- honey which was made by the bees who largely fed on spring blooms of our organic gardens!
Look for specials in August, as we often run a summer special for people who want to squeeze in a trip to Hot Springs while the sun in still high!
