Meet the Chef

Meet our Executive Chef, Tom Fecke who relocated here from the Dayton, Ohio area. We hope you will come meet him in person, and here is some information for you about him.

Tom began his culinary career as a “wok washer” at age 15 at the Yangtze River Restaurant in Kettering, Ohio. He proceeded to learn every operation of a commercial kitchen working at restaurants throughout college. He studied sculpture at Columbus College of Art &m Design and later at Cranbrook Academy of Art, finding creative outlets in both food and his art…and food as art.

His focus is on the guest, kind and attentive service and building a strong kitchen crew. His dedication to sourcing the best available and local products are key components of his joy in the journey. Tom’s pursuit of uncovering the boundless nature of culinary arts, with vibrant energy and childlike wonder, has led him to culinary adventures in Belize, Thailand, Alaska, Texas, Ohio, and now, happily, North Carolina.
